AVP, C&I Portfolio Manager                                                             

Location:  Portland, OR C&I Portfolio Manager is responsible for the administrative management of the specific assigned lending relationships of commercial and SBA loan portfolios. The Portfolio Manager will act as a resource to the Relationship Manager for his / her accounts and be the primary account manager for those loans that do not have a designated Relationship Manager.

Beneficial Banker 

Locations: Modesto, CA and Seattle, WA The primary duty of a Beneficial Banker varies from greeting customers to processing deposits and payments as well as maintaining our customers’ accounts. Beneficial Bankers will assist in verifying customer identities, posting their loan payments, and balancing all daily transactions.

C&I Relationship Manager 

Location: Portland, OR Relationship Manager is responsible for the day to day client relationship and sales/business development efforts that will result in meeting and/or exceeding individual performance goals and achieving the Bank’s growth objective. S/he is the primary contact of the bank with the client and is held accountable to understand and articulate to clients, prospects, and community members in regards to the mission of Beneficial State Bank and at all time represents Beneficial State Bank in an ethical and professional manner.

Cash Management Support 

Location: Portland, OR The Cash Management Support is responsible for assisting, coordinating, and directing cash management service activities to include the development of new treasury management, expansion of existing business relationships, and servicing clients. Provides assistance in pricing, negotiation, and the developing of sales plan for designated customer or prospect bases on cash management products to optimize relationship profitability. Cash Management will also assist in the analysis and evaluation of potential solutions through cost benefit analysis.

Client and Treasury Manager 

Location: Seattle, WA The Client & Treasury Manager has an overall responsibility to professionally and aggressively sell a full range of consumer and business products in their designated market area; contributing to the growth of the Bank by acquiring new customers and obtaining additional business from existing customers. S/he will ensure sales and business developments, customer services, and that retention goals are met through an aggressive calling programs, community involvement, and marketing techniques.

Collateral Clerk 

Location: Porterville, CA The primary responsibility of the Collateral Clerk is to process LSI for the Collateral Department.  Other responsibilities may include: determining the value of vehicle within the market, recondition units as required, validate insurance claims, and coordinate sales efforts with Auctions.  S/he will provide and maintain reports as directed and abreast to Policies and Procedures applicable to remarketing and collection activities.

CRE Portfolio Manager 

Location: Santa Rosa, CA, or Oakland, CA, or Portland, OR CRE Portfolio Manager is responsible for the administrative management of the specific assigned lending relationships of commercial and CRE loan portfolios. The Portfolio Manager will act as a resource to the Relationship Manager for his / her accounts and be the primary account manager for those loans that do not have a designated Relationship Manager.

Customer Care Center Specialist

Location: Portland, OR Customer Care Center Specialist provides back-office support to customers, branch networks, and other departments. S/he responds to various inquiries, resolves complex issues, and identifies and implements ongoing efficiency improvements. This position develops and implements branch and departmental operations procedures and is responsible for ensuring minimal losses.

Loan Servicing Specialist I and II 

Location: Oakland, CA, or Sacramento, CA, or Portland, OR Loan Servicing Specialist I and II are responsible for loan servicing activities of processing payments, advance processing, warehouse transactions, participation settlements by wire, file maintenance on existing loans, production and maintenance of collateral files, and creation of online files in DocuShare. At the direction of Loan Servicing Supervisor or Loan Operations Manager, s/he may be responsible for loan insurance follow-up, loan boarding and/or call back and quality control of new and renewed loans, tickler entry and update, and positing transactions.

Recovery and Remarketing Manager 

The Recovery and Remarketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the LSI process of the Collateral Department and coordination activities related to recovery and disposition of repossessed collateral. S/he will initiate, maintain, and manage the relationships with Collateral Clerks, auto auctions, insurance companies, and/or any individuals involved to maximize recovery dollars and minimize losses.

"Beneficial Banking" Summer Internship Program

Developing the Next Generation of "Beneficial Banking" Leaders & Ambassadors

To build the pipeline for the next generation of leaders, Beneficial State Bank and Foundation are proud to offer an intensive summer internship program which provides valuable work and learning experience to high-caliber students interested in beneficial banking, community economic development and responsible financial services. Through this 9-week program – with tracks for both collegiate and MBA students – interns work on challenging projects and complete deliverables designed to advance key initiatives and programs at Beneficial State.

Under the direction and mentorship of bank staff, each intern will complete a capstone project and present their findings to the executive leadership team at the end of the program. Additionally, to supplement the learning experience, interns gain exposure to community and socially-responsible banking through the "Beneficial Banking" Curriculum & Speaker Series. Led by experts in the fields of community banking, investing, and responsible finance, these workshops provide exposure to the challenges confronted by professionals in the industry and include site visits for interns to see the work in action.

Past interns have both joined the Beneficial State team after graduation and leveraged their rich internship experience into careers in financial services and a variety of socially-responsible sectors.

Each year, we conduct a nationwide search for the best and brightest to join Beneficial State. We look for highly skilled individuals whose passion for economic justice and environmental sustainability match the vision and goals of our organization. While we primarily target students pursuing an MBA or a related graduate degree, we will have a track for exceptional undergraduates who are completing their degrees this year or have graduated within the last year. Individuals from other academic disciplines are also strongly encouraged to submit an application.
